Last week, Invisible Woman (Eli Anthony) took Dan Briand out of the competition by eliminating Wolverine in Hell's Kitchen. It was a clean sweep, as the poll, Jeff and myself all named Invisible Woman as the winner. Thanks for playing Daniel, you fought hard!

This week's fight features Emma Frost (Eli Anthony), versus Professor Xavier (managed by Tom McNeeley) in the Hell's Kitchen.

Both Tom and Eli recorded live with Jeff and myself Saturday September 15'th at 9pm EST.

Voters are allowed to vote once, and it is recommended that everyone listen to the rationales presented on the CoC Podcast, as well as follow the debate here in the forums before voting. Voting will be closed at 9pm EST September 23'rd.

To win a fight, the fighter merely needs to subdue his/her opponent. Subdue can be anything from restraining to killing.

Emma beats Xavier on the astral plane.




Emma can get into Xavier's head without his knowledge.

She setup blocks in Xavier's mind to prevent him from attacking her. Emma straight up prevents Xavier from using his powers. What else is there to say? In my scenario, all she has to do is keep Xavier from getting in her head. In all actuality, she has prevented him from using his powers in the past. She can definitely prevent him from using his powers on her in this fight.


Emma's diamond form is bullet proof.
Tom's argument about bullets damaging Emma's diamond form is destroyed by this scan. It shows that bullets don't hurt her when she's in her diamond form. **Edit mac - As you guys like to diss me for bringing in real world physics to comics, here's a scenario where you are right: it doesn't work.


Can make herself invisible to people around her.
Here she demonstrates the ability to easily mask her presence from people around her. She teaches it to Rachel in seconds. This is how she would keep Xavier from detecting her location and movements. The people wouldn't even see her, and neither would Xavier when he looked through their minds.




rogue calls Emma the most powerful telepath.
This one's not too serious, just an example of someone claiming that Emma is the most powerful telepath on the planet. Tom mentioned that about Xavier, that it's been said he's the most powerful, well, now it's been said about Emma. And Rogue would probably know.



emma has no emotions while in her diamond form
Since Emma feels no emotion while in her diamond form, as this scan shows, she won't feel remorse at the thought of endangering innocent bystanders to beat Xavier.



This is just funny. I'm not even sure it's Xavier, could just be some bald dude. But basically, this is what she'll do to end this fight, but in diamond form. Which will give Xavier a broken jaw, and a concussion. Not to mention knocking him unconscious.

And per Eli, I shall not blow up this thread. I don't know how much he'll be posting (if at all). We shall see.

If Emma wins this, I think there should be a bonus championship match where Emma has to face off against Sue.

We can all get together and just shoot the shit about it or something.

I sure do like Sue... But would it even be a fight? Sue doesn't have much defense against a telepath, does she?
They both have physical attacks, but what could Sue do against Emma in her Diamond form?

It might be fun though!

Maybe somethin like a sudden death matchup. Each contestant presents only one rationale. And that one rationale has to carry them through, so it better be good. Has to be concise and to the point. Might not be possible and/or is a bad idea

The only problem with this fight is that everything that you showed Emma doing, Chuck has done and has been doing it for some time. He's also been able to perform those feats on a greater scale in some cases. Hell, he recently cloaked the entire team of Avengers and X-Men from a Phoenix powered Scott and Emma. He didn't even exert himself as he just strolled along in his suit as usual.

The scan w/ Emma inside of his mind when he pulled in Scott was a trap that set up for him. Basically they had the TIME to lay out a plan and set him up. Also they knew he would ender Scott's mind. To perform the same thing here Emma would have to know or assume Charles would enter one a person's mind here in Hell's Kitchen and what are the odds of her picking the right person out of thousands.

What Rogue knows about the power and abilities of a telepath could fill a dixie cup. Emma got props from Rogue? Big deal. Charles gets props from other powerful telepaths and has been called the greatest since day one. (I so dislike this character)

What Charles is going to have to look out for though is the bodega off of 9th ave. There's a stack of bricks behind the builiding near the fire escape. If Emma gets there first he could be in serious trouble.

Well the wheelchair thing is invalid for 2 reasons.

1. It takes place in the ultimate universe
2. Charles Xavier is no longer bound to a wheelchair.

..but other than that.. it's always a funny scan to see, lol.

Speech, you're right about those telepathic feats... but I wanted to show that she's no slouch. AND that, whereas she might not fight him on the astral plane, she will be able to keep him out of her head.

Also... her diamond form is immune to telepathic and physical attack.

Her diamond form wins this fight. His ONLY offense is COMPLETELY NEUTRALIZED by her diamond form.

So she can keep him out of her head, which means he can't control her.
She has her diamond state, which makes her invulnerable to both physical AND mental attacks.

What's left? Tell her she has big thighs and cellulite?

Xavier is more than capable of stopping her from shifting to her diamond form and he's been able to get in her head before. As proven in the latest AvX where he cloaks two fully rostered teams from her and Scott. This was while she had Phoenix powers which we can all agree boosts pwers of telepaths.

Usually telepaths duke it out on the astral plane but since she has the diamond option she could use that. However Xavier can use the minds of the people to locate her. But this causes problems for her too. She's NOT going to rampage through the city to get to Chuck. She's a good guy and Chuck will bank on that.

The whole mind battle is what is difficult to gage at times because both have done some really cool things.

She can change to diamond for in a hundredth of a second. She has not only been able to keep Xavier out of her head before, but she has also shielded a team of X-Men from detection by Sinister. And it wasn't during the the crap that is AvX.

Xavier will not be able to stop her from going to her diamond form. Once there, this fight is over. Its just a matter of time before Xavier goes down.

So he cloaked the team from her, thats fine. But I don't see proof of him stopping her from doing something like going to her diamond form. I mean, doesn't he have to find her first?
